The First Boosterthon School of 2012: Thoughts on our Program
The first Boosterthon Fun Run school of 2012 finished their program just a few weeks ago. I caught up with the Head of School at the Jewish Academy of Orlando, Lynn Shefsky, to hear how our first school of the year enjoyed their first experience with our program.
What was your students’ response to the Boosterthon program?
“Fabulous! They really enjoyed the day (the Boosterthon Fun Run event) and your staff was great.”
What were you raising money for?
“Jewish programming through our PTA. It goes into general funding for holidays and celebrations that were scaled back because of the economy.”
What’s your favorite part of the program?
“The lessons of value and teamwork. The enthusiasm of the team and their engagement with our students. They were here in the morning from 7:30 until the end of the day, offering if they could help with anything.”
Which element of our program is the most important for the life of your school right now: Fitness, Leadership, or Character?
“Character. We are always working on character development because kids are our future.”
It’s always a pleasure to serve great schools like the Jewish Academy of Orlando. Thanks for allowing us to serve you!
